About Gong-Qian Yang

   Composer, Producer, Publisher

                     and

              Concert Artist

“Music should spark our

passion, awaken our hope,

refresh our feelings, and

 enlighten our heart.”

---  by Gong-Qian Yang,

a  Chinese American composer, soloist and concert violinist

who has been unanimously acclaimed by the

audience, colleagues, and publicities for his superb

artistry as well as his outstanding music talents.

As the first prize winner twice of Starling International

Scholarship Foundation U.S., Yang has been winning

standing ovation in his solo concerts including solo

performance in Aspen music festival. While enjoying

a successful career as soloist and concert artist,

Yang has always kept a keen interest in music composition.

He studied a wide range of repertoire and huge

diversity of music.  He has been working diligently

on the combination of the very best from eastern and

western music.  Yang’s music is now reaching far

and broad both in the U.S. and internationally.

In his opinion, it is best to let music emotion flow and

unfold freely without excess structural restrain.   He believes

that music can reach and touch humans' heart. Yang refers

some of his music as twenty-first century classic.

He has often been inspired by the harmony between all

creatures of the universe. Yang says his music is a

gift and inspiration from the nature.

In the Symphonic Poem Nature and Me, Yang has shared

the feeling of harmony and intimacy between nature and

all of the creatures in the grand universe through the

dialogues between the solo flute, solo French horn, harp,

and strings. The unfolding music is the process of constant            development and resolution, like unfolding real life.

The whole piece radiates infinite life energy that glorifies

the beauty of the great universe, and, of course, the beauty

of humans living within. In his music, as an important part

of orchestral sonority for richer and more flexible music               expression Yang added a vocal part in Nature and Me                  Symphonic Poem.

CD Baby has released Yang’s music  album

Sonic Poem; digital download is also available

on Apple Itunes, on Vcast, MP3-Extension, FYE,

Buy Music,  Sony Connect, Napster, Aol MusicNow,

Interia. Publicity in both U.S. and China has

highly commented on Yang's artistry.
